Another attraction near Keetmanshoop is the Giant's Playground.

Permits to visit Kolmanskop must be obtained in Lüderitz at the office of Lüderitz Safaris & Tours in Bismarckstreet beforehand. The surrounding landscape, with its bizarre coastlines, off-shore islands and the Bogenfels (rock arch) is especially fascinating. Continue your journey via Helmeringhausen to Farm Landsberg. This farm can be reached from either road D407 or D707 (via Koiimasis) and lies like a gigantic crater plum in the centre of a northern section of the Tiras Mountains. One of Namibia's larger Kokerboom forests is within easy reach while deformed centuries old Acacia trees are scattered in a nearby valley. This is testified in the abundance of many rare succulent species, shrubs, annuals and other perennial plants. Various walking trails and guided mountain 4x4 excursions are on offer.
Farm Landsberg (or similar) - Dinner/Bed/Breakfast.

Day 8:
On your way to Maltahöhe, plan a stopover at Duwisib castle, built from sandstone in 1908 by the eccentric Baron von Wolf. View the interior of the castle with its original furniture and art works.
